Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with Tirana district deputies for May 11th elections. He declared that Albania cannot, should not, and would not miss the train to enter the European Union.
For the first time in my direct experience, the possibility of Albania's entry into the European Union is real, tangible, concrete and current. Of course, we never questioned him, but I believe he was never suspected even of our European partners that our country is in the EU”, Rama stressed.
This is one of those moments when the history train passes before us and when we have to be conscious and we know everyone that the train of history stops very little at a station, doesn't sit there indefinitely because it's the way history develops, and that's how depending on the leadership and the capacity of the political class, the leadership of a country, the country gets the train or loses it. We cannot lose this train, we shouldn't and will not lose this train, given all the tectonic changes that have just begun throughout the existential world so that we can be inside the EU”, Rama said.
EU integration as Rama stressed is of particular importance to ensuring freedom.
Because they face people who take it lightly or have a wrong perception of the EU or link EU accession to sporadical episodes or at times, which seem to be something of relative importance. This is of vital importance to Albania and Albanians, because entering the EU can best ensure individual freedom for each individual. Individual Albanian freedom is threatened as long as it is outside the EU. It is threatened as much as remains an issue related to who governs Albania as equality is threatened before law”, Rama said./Periscopi/
