Prime Minister Edi Rama will run in the May 11th 2025 parliamentary elections in Tirana County, and will be part of a closed list. This decision was made during the Socialist Party's chairmanship meeting, where the candidate list for MPs was approved.
This development comes at a moment when political parties have until midnight this Wednesday to hand over final lists of MPs to the country's Central Election Commission for all 12 counties, Euronews reports, broadcast Periscope.
Meanwhile, parties are expected to submit full lists by 24:00 to prepare for parliamentary elections, to be held on May 11th 2025.
