The following week, the Special Court in The Hague held recent sessions before it took two weeks off.
The trial of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi will continue from 17 March onward.
At the last session held, the testimony of former Commander Ismet Tara was heard, who was later released from the court.
Meanwhile, the Judicial Chamber partially approved the acceptance of some material evidence concerning the organisation of the KLA in the Drenica area based on their authenticity and prosperity, and considering the completion of the Judicial Body that accepting these documents as evidence does not cause damage to defence.
Angela Griep, spokesperson for Kosovo Specialised Chambers ( At The Hague, the Judicial Chamber said the prosecution's request regarding material evidence was not authentic, in the opinion of the Judicial Chamber.
On February 21st, the Judicial Chamber partially adopted a similar prosecutorial motion regarding the Llap area and ordered the prosecution to change the list of material evidence no later than Friday, February 28th”, she said.
We remember that April 4th the hearing of witnesses at The Hague will be completed.
The March 17th session begins normally as the preliminary hearings in The Hague at 09 a.m.
