We welcome Europeans to take the lead in European security. I mean, that was the base. They should invest in the ability to do so”, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said, a day after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke of a new European Coalition effort to ensure peace between Russia and Ukraine.

We also had NATO Secretary General on the phone with the president before President Zelensky entered. So we expect Europe to progress for Europe, but they also have to invest in the skills to do so”, Waltz said.
He said it is clear before Zelensky visits the White House last week that Europe was planning to increase its contribution to the security of Ukraine.
