Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has filed charges against defendants R.V. and M.V. of Serbian nationality and A.C. Bosnian nationals under suspicion of war crimes against the civilian population.
The prosecution said the investigations have confirmed that the defendants as reserve members of the Police Station in Pec, “co-ordination with members of Serbian police forces, during wartime in Kosovo, in the village of Ozdrim, the Pec municipality and villages around the Pec region, have committed murder, deportation, destruction of property and mistreatment against the Albanian civilian population who were not involved in war, with what cases were killed (14) by Albanian national civilians<1>.
The prosecution has proposed taking the trial in absentia, confirming the KPPK provisions, because the defendants are on the run.
Special Prosecution remains committed to pursuing and bringing all persons responsible for war crimes in Kosovo to justice. /Periscopi/
