An early morning police operation yesterday in Gjave ended with 10 arrested for organising pyramid schemes or illegal gambling.
Following the admission of “reliable documentation” for organising illegal gambling at a residential facility in the town of Gjakova, police said they have taken immediate action by executing the command-control at two suspected locations.
During this operation, police units have found and seized the quality of material evidence:
• Three lucky games device (APEX),
• About 6 thousand euros and several hundred in different currency in other countries,

• A pistol with a mag.
“As a result of this action, 10 suspected persons (or older men) have been arrested, who, after interviewing in the presence of defence lawyers, with the State Prosecutor's decision have been submitted to holding for 48 hours, as the case is being investigated in the direction of criminal acts: “Organising pyramid schemes or illegal gambling”, “being held in ownership, or authority unauthorised possession of the weapon”<5>, police reported.
Kosovo police said the <x0 needs committed to the fight against illegal activities and encourage citizens to co-operate by reporting such cases through official contact numbers”.
