Bislimi during meeting with Sorensen: Bazic Agreement, Ohrid Anex Must Be whole

First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo Besnik Bislimi hosted the European Union's Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, at the first official visit to Kosovo. He was accompanied at this meeting and by the chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Ora.

Through a media report, it becomes known that Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi recognized him at the beginning of the Sorensen Emissar meeting with the progress that has marked the country over the years and the possibilities for development that Kosovo offers, separating the IT sector and the new average population age as important assets.

For his part, Sorensen congratulated the deputy prime minister for the election process in the recent elections on February 9th.

“U talked on a series of topics, with focus on the road forward towards normalising relations within the dialogue process. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi stressed that the Bazic Agreement and the Ohrid Implementation Annex must be implemented in all through a fair and equal sequence plan between the parties. He also praised the European Union's public position that Serbia's behaviour to the Council of Europe is in violation of the” agreement, the report said.

On the other hand, the deputy prime minister raised concern and briefed Emissar Sorensen on efforts by Serbian authorities to stop the Republika Kosovo government's financial aid to Albanians in the Presevo Valley.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Emissar Sorensen for visiting today's conversation, expressing his will for fruitful co-operation./Periscopi/
