MP PDK, Artan Behrami, has said Haxhi Thaci's family has had hope that perhaps former President Thaci could be allowed to attend the funeral ceremony, broadcasts Periscope.
“Yes, the Thaci family has been hopeful that President Thaci may be allowed, because of his condition and that there was a huge public pressure, and there was hope that President Thaci's arrival maybe allowed.
“and to create time, Haxhi Thaci is held in the morgue and is buried with state ceremonies the next day. Everything has gone too fast, time has taken the municipality to organise a dignified” event, Behrami said.
Furthermore, he said he is not aware of the way the news was communicated to former President Thaci about his father's loss, but said the solidification of citizens with the family was extraordinary.
