Basha: Euro-Atlantic Coalition Supports SPAK for Fighting Corruption

The Euro-Atlantic Coalition political leader Lulzim Basha has declared that this coalition is the only one who has sent a legal package to the Parliament to support the Special Anti-corruption Structure (SPAK). In a TV interview, Basha stressed that SPAK's support is essential to advancing Albania towards European integration.

He said: “The Special Anti-corruption (SPAK) facility is a strategic Euro-Atlantic investment, and therefore the Euro-Atlantic Coalition has been and is in favour in action and not in words against SPAK.” Basha added that the only “we've been sending a package for help to the SPAK, and they pretend they don't see it, and they don't put it in the order of the day to discuss it, let alone vote on it. ”

Basha stressed that “There is no other way, there is no shortcut and there is no hidden way, but the only way is to give the SPAK all the power it deserves to go to the end of the fight against corruption. ”
