A year and a half of approval of the Law on the Price of Medical Products is lacking

Adoption of the Law on the Price of Medical Products was intended to save the citizen's pocket in the drug store, reducing the cost of drugs. A year and a half after the adoption of the parties' Law and complaints, most pharmaceuticals in Pristina do not have one of the most elementary-train products for infusion, Periscope notes. Journalist: A [...]
Journalist: Do you have a transfusion?
Pharmacist: Not by faith.
Journalist: Why isn't there?
Pharmacist: They're missing.
Journalist: In all the drugs?
Pharmacist: No, you may be able to find it but a lot of trouble is that they're in a quiet absence. There is no shortage of the price level that was released, are not supply the warehouses, reports Justice Vow.
The “Justice Trust team” requested a solution for infusion to over 10 drugstores in the capital, but to buy this product the patient may be forced to search beyond the borders of the state.
Journalist: A hundred milliliters infusion?
Pharmacist: She's missing.
Journalist: Nowhere?
Pharmacist: Valah... Look, maybe you can find something...
Journalist: Are we ever finding ourselves in Pristina, have our whole family been alarmed or go to Skopje?
Pharmacist: If you really need to go outside, there's nothing...
Journalist: Do you know why?
Pharmacist: There's a missing supplier of what I know.
That this situation would come, lawyer Kujtim Kreveshi had warned three months ago. For the lack of solvents in the drug ward, the lawyer still blames the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health was supposed to predict such a situation because it is economic- commercial assessment. Who would bring products to Kosovo with a retail margin or cause property damage. It means, who would import any product tomorrow, not just drugs, in which the state owes you to work in your loss. No large international corporation, which has partners in Kosovo or in the region, enters a supply process with promises that will harm itself in commercial trade circulation. This is the simple business equation. So I have believed, I continue to believe that Kosovo with this kind of policy will expel quality firms and create moats for firms which, as I have said publicly, will come from the free trade zones between India, China and other countries, which have no security and what we will be supplied with. After all, a patient needs the herb to have effect on treatment and healing, not just descriptive content. What would be the impact of drugs coming from these channels. I believe that in the meantime we will also witness this process, and the entire equation is commercial-economic. So nobody has an account to put goods on their rich-economic damage. This is the simple equation”, said lawyer Kurveshi.
However, the solver was found in drugs near facilities where public health services are provided.
Journal: Infusion do you keep, do you?
Pharmacist: What do you mean an injection?
Journal: Three, NaCI.
Pharmacist: Yes, the treatment is. Do you need 500 or 100?
Journal: What do you have?
Pharmacist: Two.
Citizens who accepted public health services were not faced with this problem because the QKUK's central medicine was well-fortuned.
And so far, it has no impact, because the law has entered into force on February 1st, and we have the supply procedures most of us initiated at the beginning of the year. So, thankfully, we've had some impact, but we can't predict if it's going to happen in the future, so if the future is going to happen, there's a supply of supplies because we've actually got a physical charge, we have 100 milliliterous glucose supply. So, the central drug has not been stuck in supply, so since January 2025 we haven't had these problems. Yesterday, it's already been linked to the new contract for physical treatment, which we have to supply for within two years. So fortunately, we have the contract, today is the order for our next supply, so we haven't been blocked by”, said Dardane Mehaj- principal at the QKUK Central Barnator.
But citizens cannot buy a solvent for infusion at the QKUK Central Barnator. In terms of providing the country-level QKMFs, the Health Ministry also gave a response to “Justice Trust”.
We inform you that the Health Ministry has announced to supply all primary health care institutions with the NaCl 0.9% 500 ml and NACl 0.9% 100 ml and has supplied regular KKMFs at the country level to schedule and demand. So we consider that there is no shortage of this product. The ministry states that sufficient amounts of the NACl product 0.9% 500 ml and NACl 0.9% 100 ml in stock and that the supply is ongoing, according to the requirements of KPS health institutions”, it says in response.
All parties -- Health Ministry, QKUK, Oda of Pharmacists, and field connoisseurs believe that this Law is necessary, but the price of its lack of law and enforcement so far has largely paid citizens.
