American media “Semafor” reports Trump considering recognition of Crime as part of Russia

American President Donald Trump's administration is considering recognition of the Crime Peninsula, which Russia sealed from Ukraine in 2024, such as Russian territory with a possible peace deal in the future to end the war in Ukraine, reports news agency “Reuters”, citing a media report [...]
Medium “Semafor” said President Trump had not formally made any decision and that possible moves about Crime were among the different options that were being circulated.
Trump is expected to negotiate on the phone with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, in an effort to persuade the Kremlin leader to accept a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine and move towards the permanent end of the war.
The international crime is recognised as part of Ukraine by most states, and Kiev has said it wants this peninsula back, even though it has acknowledged that its return to control is unrealistic for now. /Periscope/
