He says March 25th 1999 remains one of the most tragic and painful days in Kosovo's history.
“26 years ago, the largest massacres in Kosovo occurred, where forces of the Milosevic regime killed and massacred 243 innocent men, women, children and old men, thus leaving lasting wounds in Kosovo's history and our collective conscience”.
As Obadiah writes, this crime shocked the world and mobilized international diplomacy to stop the ethnic cleansing that was taking place in Kosovo.
But for the families of those who were slaughtered, the pain has never stopped. Many still expect to learn about the fate of their most loved ones missing, seeking justice and truth that should not remain silent.
The freedom we enjoy today has a high price for the sacrifice of those who did not live to see it. Therefore, we remember with reverence and deep gratitude and we humble ourselves eternally to those who fell for Kosovo's freedom, as well as to commit that truth and justice are never forgotten. Glory to all fallens for freedom!”, says further.
