Xhaferi in an interview for Online Economics has said that two important projects -- the capital's ring and subpass “Agim Ramdani” -- have been blocked for more than two years, hindering infrastructure progress.
“We have had many obstacles, over two years is the capital's ring, which only needs a loan guarantee given to the current prime minister for having us as Pristina ring, so to start the tender process, which is an extremely important step, because all these columns create a new communications situation within Pristina. We're talking about the project we have two blocked projects, at the underpass éghim Ramdani and the platform of the Youth Palace with Arberie. The A Street has also been an extraordinary process with political trends, blockades, we're talking about transports from 2022-23, we have 28.5m euros blocked by the Finance Ministry. We're talking about a lot of projects that are blocked by central levels and don't understand the logic that has followed this blockade, because if we block each other, then we don't have investment development, infrastructure and we're back in this” context, Xhaferi said.
Likewise, Xhaferi stressed that 28.5m euros have been blocked by the Ministry of Finance, creating unnecessary blockades.
“We should not block it from pushing for projects, we cannot tolerate pushing for procedures that are not right. We've done very well because we've started big projects and worked hard, on the other hand, everything has been a political tendency and a political hatred which I think shouldn't be part of our desks, which we need to be open to in the sense of moving forward. These aren't driving us if we think globally”, he stressed.
He appealed an open and co-operative approach to develop projects that affect the growth of infrastructure and urban development of Pristina.
“I am strongly convinced and believe in the electorate, everyone who has been in Pristina, we've worked extremely hard and remember, the six-year period of Vetevendosje Movement in Pristina, and these three and a half years we can take the projects and see the difference between the movement that we and them have made. However, all those blockades we've succeeded, but major projects have to be alive because these change the flow of development in the Pristina municipality. Only on the A Street, if we see it on the Kalabria section that we are working on in the cholera section are 2.5 km of six lane roads in an area where New Pristina develops in urban development and communications. Without talking about B Street, 1 October street, etc. When we look at these roads and many other roads, this has our concept and our idea of Pristina development, and I think that citizens value work and we have no problem with the challenge in Pristina”, he said online Economics.
