The resolution supported by the majority of European Union countries, including Albania, Bosnia and Montenegro, calls for the interruption of hostilities and for a peaceful solution to the conflict.
Besides Hungary, which has a different stance due to close ties with Russia, the rest of the EU is united in demanding to support Ukraine at this difficult moment.
Russia, on the other hand, opposes the resolution, as the chief aggressor in this conflict, while the United States has supported another resolution that does not mention Russian aggression directly, addressing the conflict as a problem for peace, but without directly addressing what is happening in Ukraine.
On the global level, China has chosen to abstain, maintaining a neutral stance, while the Western Balkans have offered an interesting picture.
Albania, Bosnia and Montenegro have supported the resolution, due to strong ties with the European Union and their interest in the region's stability.
Serbia, however, has supported the resolution, standing alongside other Western Balkan countries that are for a peaceful solution and supporting Ukraine's integration into international structures.
Northern Macedonia has chosen to abstain.
