Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi has indicated that the vote count of MPs at municipal counting centres in Pristina, Lipjan, Obilic and Partesh is starting today (c. Tuesday). In other municipalities, Elez has said preparations are under way and the count is expected to start tomorrow.
For the first time, the vote count for parliamentary candidates is taking place at municipal counting centres. Each municipality has such a center.
“We are starting with the voting counting process for parliamentary candidates, which are from regular locations in 2533 locations across Kosovo. Initially, the counting process at municipal counting centres will begin in Pristina, Obilic, Lipjan and Partesh. In other municipalities, it will begin after all relevant technical and administrative preparations are made. It is expected to start tomorrow”, Elez said at the media conference.
Also for the first time, in addition to the vote counting process for candidates for MPs, the municipal counting centres will become the verification of votes for political subjects.
This will remove all dilemmas that were created during problems in publishing preliminary results”, Elez added.
