Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has asked the Central Election Commission to protect the integrity of the election process, following the announcement of the software's failure to publish online votes.
The president of the Republic of Kosovo lauds citizens who, even in this election process, showed high democratic culture. She has expressed expectations that the CEC will successfully complete the vote count within tonight's evening. However, following the software's failure, information confirmed by the CEC has called for the president to defend the integrity of the election process, ensuring that each vote is accurately counted”, says a president's statement on the presidency's Facebook page.
The statement goes on to say that the president will be in touch with institutions until the full assurance that the entire process, including counting and publishing the results, will be conducted in line with democratic standards and in line with civic will.
