Macron says he hasn't spoken to the Russian leader for some time, but with a new US administration in the country, he hopes he has the new “context” and a new “option to re-age”.
The only way to ensure that any peace agreement with the Russian president is respected, Macron adds, is the “of the strong dog” and have “precautionary capacity”.
Trump repeated another claim he made several times that the war which began two years in the presidency of Joe Biden would not have started if he were president.
For Putin concretely, he says: “I really believe he wants to make a deal, I can be wrong, but I believe he wants to make a deal. Putin can continue to lead Russia in a very positive way”, Trump said.
