US envoy Keith Kellogg has cancelled his press conference following a meeting with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky in Kiev.
Kellogg will not receive questions from the press, Ukrainian officials said, and would appear only for photo and handshake protocol.
A joint press conference was scheduled to take place after today's Ukraine- USA to Kiev.
Reuters and AP are reporting that it was canceled at US request, broadcast the Express newspaper.
Kellogg's three-day trip to Kiev took place after Donald Trump accused Zelensky of “dicator” and blamed him for his country's war with Russia.
Zelensky had said on Wednesday that Trump was living in a <x0space dezinformation” Russian since Trump said Zelensky stood down in the polls.
A senior Ukrainian source described Zelensky as engaged and “highly motivated”.
He said it was unclear if Kellogg would accept the president's invitation to visit the front line together. Kellogg will leave Kiev on Friday night.
An assistant asked what Zelensky did for the dictator's comment has smiled and left.
