Ukraine's president, Vlodymyr Zelensky, will travel to Washington on Friday for a face-to-face meeting with United States President Donald Trump, reports “Sky News”
The face-to-face meeting was proposed by the American side.
The announcement comes shortly after it was reported that Ukraine and the US have reached mineral deals.
At a news conference later, Trump confirmed Zelensky's visit Friday and said they would sign the mineral agreement.
“We have negotiated more or less our agreement on rare lands”, he added.
The agreement stipulates conditions to create funds to invest in Ukraine's minerals and other valuable natural resources.
The deal does not contain the original US demand that it have the right to $500 billion in revenues from Ukraine's natural resources. But it does not even contain Ukraine's request for security guarantees from the US, according to initial reports.
