We have an ocean in the middle. They don't. It's more important to them than to us”, he said.
Trump told reporters that the Ukrainian government had signalled the opening to the idea of exchanging its supplies with lithium, titan and other rare land minerals for continued American aid.
I want to have the security of rare soil. We're investing hundreds of billions of dollars. They have rare large lands. And I want the safety of the rare land, and they're willing to do it”, Trump said.
The transaction proposal offers a mirror of Trump's goals when it comes to war in Ukraine. He has long complained about the US burden on Kiev's arming, but has not detailed his plans for stopping or continuing support since taking office. /euronews
