US President Donald Trump has insisted once again that the US will take over the Gaza Belt while meeting with Jordan King Abdullah at the White House on Tuesday.
It was their first meeting since Trump announced his proposal to take over the enclave and move its population of two million Palestinians to other countries in the region, including Jordan, broadcast online newspaper Reporter.net.
Earlier this week, Trump suggested he could stop helping Jordan and Egypt if they refused to take them Palestinians from Gaza.
But speaking to reporters at the Oval Office, with King Abdullah sitting on his right, Trump signalled that he would not change his idea, which caused global reaction when he discovered this plan last week.
We'll take it. We'll keep it. We'll appreciate it”, he told Gaza.
Trump claimed that multi-tasking “would be created throughout the region if an invasion of US-torn territory took place.
King Abdullah sat quietly with Trump as the president reiterated a proposal that would overturn decades of US decided policy and constitute a violation of international law, which prohibits the forced transfer of the population, reports BBC.
