He waited for him at the door of the house, but how did Trump expel Zelensky in two hours?
The long-awaited meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukraine's Vlodymyr Zelensky was held today. The meeting, which was broadcast lively, was held with debates, threats of our fierce. It even came so far as Trump kicked Zelensky out of the White House and said that “could be back when it's ready for peace”. Periscope brings you details of what happened...
The American president had warned the meeting with Zelensky, with whom he would sign the mineral agreement.
This negotiated agreement over the last few days would provide the United States with access to the rare Ukrainian underground minerals.
But everything didn't go as expected. The agreement failed to be signed.
Trump bursts sharply at Zelensky, as he urged Trump not to compromise with Vladimir Putin as far as peace negotiations are concerned.
With a severe tone, Trump said: “You should be grateful. It's gonna be hard doing business like this. You don't have enough bodies. You can't tell us whether you want a truce agreement.
Furthermore, Trump briefly cut Zelensky: “or you make deals, or we leave”.
Shortly after the meeting ended, there were reactions from European leaders.
Germany, France, Poland, and many other countries sided with Zelensky.
Below, find the reactions of some of them:
Germany's current Chancellor Olaf Scholz: No one wants more peace than Ukrainians. So we are working on a common road to lasting and righteous peace. Ukraine can rely on Germany and Europe.
France's President Emmanuel Macro: There is an aggressor: Russia. There's a victim: Ukraine. We had the right to help Ukraine and impose sanctions on Russia three years ago and continue to do so.
Josep Borrell, European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative: Trump and Vance made a shameful show. I'm ashamed of that behavior. The United States deserves something better. The free world must support Ukraine. I was and I'm with him
Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk: Dear Zelensky, dear fellow Christians, you are not alone.
Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sancehz: Ukraine, Spain stands with you.
German top diplomat Annalena Baerboc: Ukraana is not alone. Germany stands side by side with our European allies Ukraine and against Russian aggression. Ucryana can count on steadfast support from Germany, Europe and beyond. Their protection against democracy and their quest for peace, and security is ours.
Moldova's president, Maia Sandu: Truth is simple. Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia is the aggressor. Ukraine protects its freedom and ours. We stay with Ukraine.
Lithuania President Gitanas Nauseda: Ukraine will never walk alone.
Estonia's top diplomat, Margus Tsahkna: The only place for peace is Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's decision to continue his fight of aggression. If Ukraine stops fighting, there will be no Ukraine.
