Sylejman Selimi: I have respected orders and organogram from the KLA's General Staff

Sylejman Selimi said on Monday in The Hague that as commander of the Drenica Operative Zone (ZO), he respected the orders and organogram coming from the General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK). I believe that yes, with responsibility about the organisation of the ZO of Drenica, I have respected the orders and the organ that have come [...]
“
The witness's response was not heard when asked whether orders were issued by other people in his name, reports the “Justice Act“.
He said, however, that he does not remember an occasion to change or cancel any given orders that have been issued in his name. The witness was also asked whether he obeyed all his incoming commands.
It depends, I probably didn't convince you. Depends on what context or situation it was”, Sylejman Selimi said.
On the other hand, he was asked how the commander of the Drenica Operative Zone was able to issue orders for the General Staff.
“Not at this level, it is impossible to issue any orders to the General Staff”, he said.
For Hysni Thaci the witness said he was a simple soldier and was as Hashim Thaci's (companion) bodyguard.
While for Ayaz Berisha and Ferat Shala, he said they were part of the Drenica Zone and then passed to the General Staff.
As I remember, they were in the Pellumb unit. Responsible for the “Plemby” was Ferat Shala”, the witness said.
Selimi said he does not know exactly when these two people left the Drenica area to move to the General Staff.
That's it. I'm not accurate. I don't know. It could have been before”, Selimi said.
While, according to the feasibility note, prosecutor Matt Halling said the witness said these two people went to the General Staff in mid-April 1998.
To that end, Sylejman Selimi said it might be correct as well.
