Spiropal meets with Berset: Kosovo deserves to be accepted as soon as possible on Council of Europe

Albania's Parliament Speaker, Elisa Spiropali, has hosted the Council of Europe's Secretary General Alain Berset, who is on an official visit to Tirana today. Members of the Assembly of the KE Parliamentary Assembly, deputies Clotilda Busek, Etilda Gjonaj, Albana Vokshi, and Albania's ambassador [...] were present at the meeting.
Members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the KiE delegation, deputies Clotilda Buseka, Etilda Gjonaj, Albana Vokshi, and Albania's Ambassador to KiE, Dastid Koreshi were present.
Mayor Spiropali and Secretary General Beset discussed the co-operation between Albania's Parliament with this large European organisation during our country's 30 years of membership and contribution to the Council of Europe, as well as the active contribution of the Assembly's Parliamentary Assembly delegation.
Spiropali and Berset also for the support of the KiE and Albania's achievements in rule of law, respect and implementation of human rights, strengthening institutions and democratic values; advancing reforms towards EU membership; co-operation in multilateral international organisations and firm support for Ukraine.
Mayor Spiropali broadcast Albania's request to Secretary General Beset that “Kosovo this new and vibrent democracy deserves to be accepted as soon as possible in the KiE, as a factor for co-operation, security and peace in the region”.
