The Special Prosecutor has provided details to a person who was arrested today under suspicion that he committed criminal work “wage war against the civilian population”. Suspect is D.R. Serbian nationality.
Serbia's “Special Procuror of the Republic of Kosovo, announces the public opinion that today, D.R., of the Serbian Nationality due to suspicion that it committed criminal work “The purpose of fighting against the civilian population”, sanctioned by Article 142 of the former Yugoslavia's Criminal Law, as law in effect at the time of the conduct of criminal work. ”
He allegedly committed war crimes against the civilian population in the Gjakova region during wartime in Kosovo in 1999.
Suspect has been detained in 48 hours.
“By the Special Prosecutor's Order, the defendant is under temporary arrest and detention for 48 hours and within the legal deadline will be sent before the Pre-Procedure Court for further procedure. ”
