At the start of the meeting before Tirana municipality employees, images of the capital's change over the years appear, while referring to the images, Rama said that during his rule, as Tirana has been changed, justice has been transferred. He added that he joins the position of those who went to protest before the SPAK, but said that behaviour should not be repeated, since even justice according to him “does not have to be unmistakable” anyway.
Dear Tirana City Hall employees, I requested this meeting, since during these days I have seen among you, but among many others, people affected, disappointed, disappointed people. Some of you also appeared before the special prosecutor to protest the day the mayor went to jail without a trial. That was a mistake that should not be repeated.
Each of you represents a great team, an autonomous power, and there is no way to appear before another power. I don't think very differently than the ones who went there. Tirana Mayor is being held in prison today with the status of the suspect and not yet with that defendant or the guilty.
We transformed Tirana from a hell on earth to a European city of very great courage and torment, so we have decided to transform and justice in Albania. As we broke down the standings in Tirana, so we destroyed the old architecture of justice with reform in justice and vetoing we cleared a significant part of the decaying justice system inherited from those we inherited from Tirana 25 years ago”, said Rama. /euronews
