At a media conference held on Monday, Rama has said private waste management companies have been engaged since the company “Cleaning”, according to him, has no capacity to conduct their own management.
We've engaged private management companies because “Cleaning” skee after capacity to make waste management. From where it came in, (W.V.) Brestovci status has improved. But, someone apparently prevented them, the LVV and the PDK have banned him by regulations. The situation is getting worse, the emergency situation we've proclaimed, we'll continue now”, he said.
Weeks ago, there was a strike by company employees “Cleaning”, which has caused the filling of Pristina's various waste neighbourhoods.
Public Services Director Bekim Brestovci has said that political signals have been sent through this situation. According to him, the opposition in the municipal Assembly, the LVV and the PDK have made decisions that conflict with the law.
For the situation created, in the Pristina municipality, they were blaming the boycott that company workers undertook to express dissatisfaction with the chief head of “Cleaning”.
Regarding private commitment to Pristina's cleanup, workers of “Cleaning” have protested during November. By means of this protest, about 900 company employees have voiced fears that they may be out of work. /Koha.net/
