Prosecutor Begins New Investigations Against Martin Berisha

According to media reports, Kosovo's ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berisha, has acted outside any official procedure by taking all envelopes with ballot papers from the post and sending them to the embassy.

Due to these allegations, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has announced he has launched investigations.

The foundation procedure in Pristina reports that in the continuation of activities to preserve and manage the election process, following reports on possible misuse of Ambassador M.B. about the procedure of transferring the votes of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to the diaspora, it has begun taking the necessary investigative actions if elements in question are met that of any criminal activity that connects with the election process, in order to preserve this process”, the prosecution's announcement reported.

Reports about allegations of Ambassador Martin Berisha's involvement in the election process have also reacted to the CEC.

By the CEC, they have indicated that they will appreciate whether the withdrawal of the ballot package is by law.

“In terms of the news that is being circulated for the withdrawal of the ballot package from the CEC mailbox in Zagreb (Croatia), we explain it will be assessed if the withdrawal of the ballot package from this mailbox is done according to sub-legal acts, and the CEC will make a meritor” decision, CEC spokesman Paparacin Valmir Elezi said.
