Police prevent smuggling in Han, Elez, two Macedonians, one Kosovo

Border police have prevented a case of smuggling in the border area between the Republic of Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. Border police have prevented a case of smuggling in the border area between the Republic of Kosovo and Northern Macedonia.
According to a police report, around 3:20 a.m., patrol units have managed to locate and stop three vehicles in the village of Sequisht, Han of Elez, with which the smuggling of goods was being carried out.
During the search, various commercial goods, including clothing, jewelry, accessors, labour tools and many other items allegedly smuggled into northern Macedonia, have been found and seized.
As a result of this operation, three suspected persons have been arrested: M.B., 23, North Macedonian citizen A.N., 32, North Macedonia citizen and I.L., 19, Kosovo citizen
“By order of the State Attorney, suspects have been detained for 48 hours, while smuggled goods and vehicles have been seized and sent to the customs terminal in Han of Elez”, said further in the police report.
