Osman meets Radonic, talks about the CEC's problems: Defend the Election Process

The presidency said the main theme of this meeting was the success of the election process and that Osmani at this meeting has reaffirmed “the importance of full commitment to ensuring and preserving the integrity of this process”.

“Linked to issues listed on the electronic record platform, Mr. Radoniqi explained that the CEC, immediately invited security and justice institutions to investigate the problem and that the CEC is awaiting the final report by security institutions on identified issues that have influenced the functioning of this platform. This report will help assess and address the enumerated issues, ensuring full transparency on the reasons that have led to this problem”, the Presidency said.

At the same time, Osmani has been announced by Radoniqi that the CEC is working to ensure that every vote given to political parties is confirmed even during the vote count process of candidates.

According to the head of the CEC, this process is being realised “more carefully to ensure full compliance between the votes registered in the system and those in the ballot boxes”.

Since the election day, the presidency said Osmani has been in constant contact with Chairman Radoniqi, as well as relevant security institutions, and has called for all necessary measures to protect the election process and ensure full respect for the will of citizens by reconfirming every vote even through manual counting, besides the one made in the electronic system.

At the meeting, President Osmani laid out the need to co-ordinate institutional mechanisms to preserve the integrity of the election process and to vote on citizens”.
