“Even the mother of a 6-year-old child was sentenced to”/ Rama calls Veliaj's arrest unfair

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has been arrested on Monday at the order of the SPAK.

So Veliaj, the Special Prosecution was conducting investigations regarding several charges, such as abuse of office, active corruption, passive corruption, inacquacy of wealth and money laundering.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama called the verdict unfair even to be put under house arrest by Ayla Xoxa.

In Address Book Symsy”, Prime Minister Edi Rama said he cannot be sentenced to house arrest by the mother of a six-year-old child whose father has also been arrested.

The judge has reached the point that even the mother of a six-year-old will be sentenced to house arrest after Father was taken. Not only does anyone take this child away from school but who gives this child a meal.

I don't want to extend here, but only this fact... is such a burden. ...to leave Tirana without mayor, without court, and here I speak of proven crimes not promoted by the most obscene of mouths.”- said Rama.
