European Union Election Observation Mission Chief Natalia Loisau has said this mission is on the ground throughout Kosovo.
Loiseau said that with 104 field observers, The EU is committed to closely monitoring the election process.
The European Union's Election Observation Mission is on the ground throughout Kosovo. Our observers started work early in the morning to ensure a full assessment of the” election process.
I am actually in Pristina, where I was yesterday. The day before, I was in northern Mitrovica, and today I will travel to several other countries outside Pristina to look closely at the” situation.
Our goal is to assess whether the polling stations opened in time if all necessary materials are present and how the election process is under way. At this stage, it is still early to draw conclusions. A full assessment will be given at our press conference on Tuesday (March 11th)
With 104 EU monitors on the ground, we are committed to closely monitoring the election process. The European Union fully supports democracy in Kosovo and wants to ensure that all voters can exercise their right”, it has said. /EO/
