The current electoral system favours the feisty and party structure, where many MPs are backed by the party machine to secure votes. The composition of the Assembly, with certain exceptions, is largely the result of these structures.
If Kosovo had an election system with many areas, the composition of parliament and the dynamics of political parties would change significantly. A combined majority-proportional model, divided into 28 electoral areas, would ensure more fair and geographically balanced representation, higher quality representation, more accountability and a closer relationship between MPs and citizens.
If you are not satisfied with political representation and the way policy works in Kosovo, this can only be changed by reforming the electoral system.
