The head of the commission of laws is under investigation for the “Veliaj” file, for actions barring truth detection.

Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj was arrested on February 10th following charges filed by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor and Organised Crime for Corruption and Money Laundering. The SPAK in the announcement suggested that, besides Veliaj, Socialist Party MP Klotililda Bushka has also been put under investigation.

It is accused of obstructing SPAK prosecutors' investigation into the dawning of a corrupt scheme linked to the mayor.
