The Democratic Party of Kosovo came in second in the February nineth parliamentary elections, receiving over 180 thousand votes. According to preliminary results, this political subject is expected to have 25 seats in the Kosovo Assembly. However, there are five historical figures that may not be in the middle.
Nationale has learned that Xhavit Haliti, Nat Hasani, Hysen Berisha, Ardian Kastrati and Hajdar Beqa risk not getting the necessary numbers to become MP.
While such an issue is not defined, this situation appears to be at least in the centres where the majority of the candidates for deputy have so far been counted.
At the top of five votes counted so far are the candidate for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, and MP candidates Memli Krasniqi, Ura Ismaili, Vlora Citaku and Enver Hoxhaj.
According to these sources, Progress Gruda, Jakup Noura and Sala Jashari are among the candidates who have received a large number of votes, a surprise considering that they were not part of the party's list earlier.
According to preliminary results, it is now known that the Democratic Party of Kosovo has emerged second in the February nineth parliamentary elections, receiving 22.05 per cent of the vote, or 184 thousand 499.
The PDK is expected to have about 25 deputies in the Kosovo Assembly, according to these results.
Vetevendosje, which came first with about 40 per cent, as the first party, is entitled to form institutions as the legal and constitutional rule. However, Bedri Hamza has made it clear that if Albin Kurti's party fails to build the government, The PDK takes over.
Below, find his full statement on the matter, given in an interview Thursday at “Pressing”:
“To The PDK is a result of being assessed. The VV is the first in the vote... what is characteristic of this election the ruling party has asked for a referendum and 500 thousand votes, and they have given it. Citizens demanded change, and the largest number have won the opposition parties.
Based on laws and the constitution, it belongs to the first party to establish institutions. It is very important to have no institutional vacuum. We expect institutions to be created in the opimal term.
It's not that we necessarily, at all costs expect to be the government, but I have expressed readiness, and I'm consistent, that for us if the first party fails to achieve whatever reason I created institutions, we take that responsibility.
Even easier for us is harmonisation of programmes with parties that have been in the opposition”.
