At a meeting with Sweden's ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Jonas Westerlund, we held a fruitful discussion on political developments in the country, strengthening bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Sweden, as well as on the February 9th elections and managing this process until the certificate of election results. ”
Haradinaj has said he has thanked Ambassador Westerlund for Sweden's continued assistance to Kosovo.
I thanked the Westerlund Ambassador for the continued aid Sweden has given Kosovo in all phases of statehood. During the meeting, I reiterated the necessity of lifting EU sanctions on Kosovo to pave the way for development and Euro-Atlantic integration. For the Alliance, this is the main strategic goal -- a path that must culminate with Kosovo's membership directly in NATO and the EU.”
