Honored Ladies and Gentlemen
For several months I have been working on the ground for the electoral process that is on the verge of finalisation. At arranged meetings, I've met people from every part of state territory who would hardly meet them under any other circumstances.
I have had the honor of knowing political prisoners, war veterans, martyrs' houses, students, professors, farmers, historians, doctors, cooks, journalists and more. In this context I feel much richer because these friendships are not easily connected.
For every working day, I have tried to build criticism on the basis of argument, avoiding unacceptable language, unrealistic behaviour and other nonconventional methods of political competition. Without ever lowering the level as well as keeping the pledge to calm even in the face of tensions the campaign has.
However, according to reports so far I may have reached about 12,000 votes, but apparently they are not enough to become part of the assembly. But beyond the vote, there are twelve thousand people who believed in me, and that gives me the best feeling I've ever got.
Maybe in this process I could do more, better and more precisely, but there's no survey anymore. Nobody fought me from the inside, the vote was never taken from me, from the party structure I had correct treatment and I'm honored for that.
For more understanding: I think the electorate of The PDK has liked more the intellectual and professional qualities of other candidates and I have not corruptiond on most of them.
In the meantime, I am convinced that in the event of triumph, what I would do within the assembly will be done even better by the candidates they won. Still, the campaign was a beautiful experience that I will remember with great kindness each time.
I thank each one of you for believing in me, and especially my team, to whom I am ever grateful. I am incarnated with them to the point where I see them no more than as family members!
Finally I believe in the Democratic Party of Kosovo, as I have done for 22 years, trying to give it everything, without asking for anything in return.
With much honor and goodness
Yours
Genc Prelvukaj
