From the Municipal Counting Centre (QKN) in Pristina, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has indicated that these 14 municipalities have joined the counting and verification process that began on Tuesday in other centres, such as: Pristina, Lipjan, Obilic and Partesh.
The “over today, Wednesday, at 4: 00 p.m., is scheduled to begin the counting process at the Communist Counting Centers in the Comunas: Decan, Gjakova, Glogoc, Gjilan, Fushe Kosovo, Kamenica, Mitrovica and ug, Skenderaj, Shtrpce, Year, Ranilug, Klokot and North Mitrovica, while at 1: 00 p.m., the count began in Elez's Hani”, Elez reported.
It has further clarified that compared with the numbering of candidates' votes, the verification of political subject votes will also be made of the forms that have been completed at the polls.
“In the Municipal Counting Centres, in addition to the voting-counting process of candidates for MPs, the verification of votes from political subjects from the forms that have been completed at the polls after counting votes for political subjects will be made. This verification has been envisioned with sublegal acts that have been adopted by the CEC since the announcement of the election date, and of course it will remove all dilemmas that were created during problems in publishing preliminary results for political subjects”, Elesi said.
Elez has said that after the outcome of the vote at the polls, as well as after the outcome of the vote outside Kosovo on diplomatic and through the post office, the institution's entire engagement is focused on announcing final results for political subjects and candidates for MPs.
Until the announcement of final results, the CEC must count the votes of candidates for MPs and make verification of votes of political subjects from forms that have been completed in the polls; counting on bail; votes of persons with special needs; and votes from votes outside Kosovo. The CEC is fully dedicated to having all these processes carried out at the fastest possible time, but ensuring accuracy in identifying every voter's will. The CEC explains that the integrity of the vote is not violated, and despite delays caused by electronic platform problems, the final results will be accurate and based on the will of citizens expressed through their” vote, Elesi said.
