What are the deadlines for certificate of election results?

While the count of candidates' votes for deputies and verification of those of political subjects is continuing today in three Kosovo municipalities -- Pristina, Pec and Leposaviq -- recognition of the election processes -- consider that early March is expected to find us with the certified results of the February 9th elections. University professor for legal issues Mazumum Baraliu says there is no deadline for when the Central Election Commission should confirm the results.
But, he adds, it also depends on counting, recounting and complaints by candidates for MPs.
It's a matter that depends on many indicators and factors. The first depends on the counting process, results, eventual recounting, complaints, reanquents, administrative bodies procedures such as PZAP and the Supreme Court... There are no deadlines there, but it depends on many factors from work, efficiency from no outside obstacles, as it did with accessing the system of deliberate external factors”, Baraliu stressed.
Vulnet Bugakku from the Democratic Institute of Kosovo (KDI) considers the Central Election Commission is expected by early March to certified the results of the general elections.
And if it weren't for technical problems with the system, it says that the CEC would still be able to certificate those results.
There would be a faster conclusion than the system and software working efficiently from the moment... of closing ballot boxes and vote options, but since there were 2 days of voting problems starting to count candidates, I believe the deadline would be more or less the same as in 2021. So, they're going to be brought to the beginning of March we're just going to have the results certified by the Central Election Commission”, Bugaq stressed.
Election process monitor shows that in 2019 the CEC had taken over 50 days to certificate results, until less time it took in 2021.
“Take into account the trend of parliamentary elections in Kosovo and the certificate of results not every time they have been carried out within deadlines to make it reasonable. In 2019 the CEC took 52 days to certify the election results for having a host of complaints on the part of both parties and candidates for MPs at the time... Fewer than that was in 2021 where, according to an analysis we've done 27 days, the CEC has been taking time from within the normal soases that within 30, the election results should be certified. I guess this year I'm taking the trend... The deadline sets out, and very much defines the manner of processing irregularities that could have candidates for deputies”, Bugakku said.
The counting process after the 9 February election day began with a two-day delay due to technical trouble.
From yesterday, the Central Election Commission has also started publishing results for MPs' candidates on their platform.
According to current results, in these parliamentary elections the winning party is the Vetevendosje Movement with 40.89 %, followed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 22.40 %, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 17.23 %. The AAK Coalition- NISMA has received 7.40 % of the vote, while Serbian List 4.81 %.
