Eugene Calcolly from Democracy to Action said on the show “DPS at Fidan” That no major changes are expected in the final election results in Kosovo, despite still remaining to be counted votes by the diaspora and conditional ones.
I do not expect that we will have any drastic change in results because what is clear is that the ranking is confirmed and all parties have shown a high level of political maturity by accepting the election outcome in terms of the ranking. ” He said.
Chocolate predicts slight movement in the overall results. According to him, the changes are not expected to exceed 1% in the votes of political subjects.
What can happen is that, if certain options are removed or several votes were mismarked, we can talk up to 1 percent maximum political subject movement by counting only votes within the country. ” Call it Calcolly.
Commenting on more than 800,000 votes still uncounted by the diaspora and about 15 thousand conditional votes, Cakoli stressed that even these votes would not bring major changes to the composition of mandates.
According to him, the Vetevendosje Movement, which had the best performance in voting abroad in the 2021 elections, could fully benefit two additional mandates even in the event of receiving 70-75 per cent of the vote.
When they enter into a cast of votes abroad, which are over 80 thousand currently and about 15 grand are expected to be conditional votes, we are talking about 100 thousand votes that are still at stake, which, if we follow the trends of the past elections, will still have no major impact. If we take the Vetevendosje Movement as the political party, which has much better performance within the vote abroad, it gets up to 70 per cent or 75 per cent of votes abroad, we're still talking about only two more mandates. At that rate, up from 47 currently with preliminary results, will go to 49 at maximum. ” Calcolly said.
However, he warned that if the scenario stated by the LDK chairman for the security of 400,000 votes from the diaspora is realised, Vetevendosje may not benefit at all additional mandates, even losing one.
On the other hand, the two other parties -- the PDK and LDK -- depending on how they will perform abroad, because at least publicly we have had statements of the LDK chairman who expect to have up to 400,000 votes from abroad, if so, then not that he will receive additional VV mandates, but he may lose a mandate within the current state of voting that parties have. ” Calcolly added.
