As police reports, the case was reported on Wednesday (February 26th) around 19:25, when a citizen informed police that he and his sister had been held under gun threat at the suspect's house in Gjakova.
“The citizen had managed to escape, while his sister was left inside, held by the suspect, who is the victim's husband”, police said in the report.
Immediately after receiving the information, police say their units, including the investigation unit and the Speed Response Unit (NJRSH), have emerged at the scene.
The “thanks to the rapid response and the professionalism shown, has been achieved for the suspect to be arrested. During the intervention, and the search realised at the suspect's house has been found and seized an automatic firearm allegedly used in case and 54 rounds of bullets. A small amount of suspected narcotics substance was also found at the scene. Meanwhile, medical assistance has been provided to the victim because of injuries suffered”, the KP reported.
Meanwhile, with the state prosecutor's decision, in co-ordination with which all investigative actions have been undertaken, legal procedure has been initiated against the suspects, while the same one has been banned in maintaining further procedures.
