After receiving notice of the security measure issued by the Special Court, Ayala Xoxa decided to return to Albania on this Monday evening through a flight from Rome.
We remember that this Monday (February 10th 2025), at the order of the Special Anti-Organised Crime Prosecutor, today Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has been arrested on charges of two criminal acts: “passive corruption” and “money laundering”, while under the measure “Arret at home” has been placed Veliaj's wife, Ayla Xoza. According to the SPAK, it is accused of corruption, money laundering and hiding wealth.
