Customs services have announced the suspension of border crossings between 0800 and 0000, while there is no official announcement of such measures taken at the crossing point of Kapshtica.
Because of the protests, supermarkets in Athens will be closed until 2: 00 p.m., open and then close later at night.
Meanwhile, PASOK's political party has announced that on Wednesday it will file a motion for distrust of the government in parliament, calling for new findings on the event in Tempi. SYRIZA has also demanded the government's resignation, as the findings have revealed serious shortcomings in the Greek railway system.
In another move, Athens Airport will be closed for 24 hours, causing concerns for international travellers and those travelling abroad.
The Actic Taxists Union (SATA) has called for taxists' participation in social volunteer action, offering free transportation to citizens who want to participate in the protest and go to Syntagma Square.
Also, 6 Thessaloniki subway stations will be provisionally closed due to protests.
Reports by the National Organisation for Investigation of Air and Iron Accidents have stressed that within three days the main evidence that could help investigate the serious incident has been destroyed.
To manage the situation, authorities have mobilised 6,000 police officers in Athens Square to ensure order during the protests.
