American Professor: You can ignore what the U.S. wants, if you don't have territorial exchanges, do association.

Ben-Meir has said that if Kosovo does change territories, then it should create the Association of Communities with the Serbian Majority and co-operate with Serbia.

“The US can impose sanctions, it may not help Kosovo economically, it may pressure the EU not to advance Kosovo, it can make considerable pressure if they want and therefore I think you can ignore what the United States wants”, he has told Radio Free Europe.

“Action must be formed. If you don't want territorial exchanges, do Association. We co-operated with Serbia because Serbia has major interests in those municipalities since they are majority Serbs. So flexibility should be shown in this direction”, Ben Meir said.
