The new US administration, Maliqi: US KFOR presence in Kosovo is at serious risk

Kosovo analyst and political development connoisseur Agon Maliqi has commented on statements that US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has made today, considering as unrealistic something possible between Russia and Ukraine that brings this one to NATO and returns it to the borders of 91st. [...]
Maliqi says that this is the officialism of changing the course of the American administration, and according to him, this spirit will be reflected in the Balkans as well.
According to him, the presence of US KFOR in Kosovo is at serious risk.
This public statement is formalising the change of course from the new US administration to the Ukrainian policy and is in line with the spirit of US withdrawal such as “subventionary” of European security and its commitment to border protection in international order. This realistic spirit will soon be reflected in US politics in the Balkans, where I repeat it, the presence of US KFOR” is at serious risk, Malchi said.
In the end, Maliqi has said that the Serbian lobby in the US has been strengthened and that Kosovo, although it has friends, is approaching with its approach as evidence to support it.
Kosovo's “” problem is that with its approach it is not giving arguments to its friends for support. From the new composition of Kosovo's new government and its political course will depend heavily on whether Kosovo will be a party to the table of discussions in Washington or subject to discussion of that table. The same applies to EU countries, where Kosovo's political capital is smaller. The weight of these elections and of this government to be established is historic for national security.”, Maliqi has said.
