5 thousand euros in fines against accused of conflict of interest, 2,000 to accused of helping him perform this work

According to the indictment, Mirena was sentenced to 1,000 and 750 euros and 6 months in prison. The prison sentence was replaced by 3 thousand euros and 250 euros in fines. To Mirena, the Court pronounced the unique penalty of 5,000 euros in fines.
In this sentence, accused Mirena will also be counted in the house arrest.
While accused Gervala was fined 750 euros and 4 months in prison. The prison sentence was replaced by 1,000 euros and 250 euros in fines. The Court declared its unique sentence of 2,000 euros in fines.
The accused are also obliged to pay the expenses of the procedure from 100 euros (each separately) on behalf of the judiciary and 50 euros for the victims' compensation fund.
Parasely, by the Court it became known that accused Armen Mirena and Ardiana Grovalla and the Founding Prosecutor in Pristina have reached agreement on admitting guilt.
Initially, prosecutor Eset Rama said the agreement has been reached with the consent of the accused in the presence of their defenders, as well as approved by the chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutor.
The defender of accused Mirena, lawyer Ilire Aydogan, said she does not oppose the prosecutor's statement and also reiterated that the agreement has become a conflict of criminal procedure code, and proposed to the Court that the agreement be approved.
While defender of accused Gervala, lawyer Rizona Hashan said they stay close to the agreement reached. She too proposed to the Court to approve the agreement reached.
Later, the case judge, Ertan Seylula, said that since the agreement reached is consistent with legal provisions, the same approved.
According to the indictment that established on February 14th 2025 by Pristina Constitutional Prosecutor Armen Mirena was charged that during March 2023 in Obilic, in the position of official at the Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sports in the Obiliki municipality, and the chairman of the Commission for Subventions for the Directorate, with the aim of benefiting itself, has exceeded its computers knowing that there is a conflict of interest because it was founder of the basketball club <0x> A S Kastriot”, has submitted the subvention application under the public call of the Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sports, for this basketball club, where it has even compiled and signed the club documentation on behalf of Admir Hashan, and then on the quality of the chairman of the Commission for Subvention Divisions has announced the winner of the “Club subvention. A S Kastriot”, profiting the material amount of 9 thousand and 900 euros.
By what, it was accused of committing criminal work “Conflicted Interest” by Article 417, par.1 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code.
On the other hand, Ardiana Grovalla was charged that during February 2024 in Obilic, in the quality of monitoring for youth and Sports NGOs, she has deliberately helped defendant Armend Mirena, where she has taken advantage of her duties with the purpose of benefiting rich benefits for the other, and on February 29, 2024 has compiled the final report on subsidies separated from the municipality, where at the 10th point of the report, she writes that she has seen the activities held by the club 2023, where the club has taken up the new generations with the previous league and the worst.
In that, it was charged with committing criminal work “Help in carrying out the conflict of interest criminal work” by Article 417, par.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
