The value of money and items stolen from the bank's safe amounts to 4m euros.
Suspected authors of the event, two Kosovo citizens, have been declared on the run.
The theft event occurred in August 2008, when unknown persons broke a bank window and went inside to steal money and valuables.
Further investigations by the Greek Police Criminal Investigation Directorate have led to the identification of two Kosovo citizens as possible perpetrators of theft.
They are Basri Berisha, 53 (rights Basri Ramadani), and Sinan Beciroski, 54, (Alias Sinan Bekiroski).
Berisha, currently held at a detention centre in France, is a known name for international authorities, since he has been arrested earlier for similar acts in Germany and Kosovo.
By comparison analysis of the data, it has been found that Berisha is also involved in a 2009 robbery attempt at a bank subsidiary in Athens, as well as in stealing a safe and ATM in 2010 at a supermarket in Crete.
The investigations continue, as Greek police are co-operating with international authorities on the arrest and extradition of suspects, who face grave charges of theft and money laundering, reports NOA, Tramsecto Telegrafi.
