A worker has passed away after falling from the skeletons of a building under construction in the “Bayram Curri” neighbourhood in Prizren at noon Wednesday.
The victim, F.A., 34-year-old male from the village of Caravik of Malisheva, was originally sent to the emergency at Prizren Regional Hospital in serious condition, but later, around 16:30, he died at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo in Pristina, Kosovo Police reported.
In case, suspect N.B., owner of the construction company, after interviewing the State Prosecutor's decision has been banned for 48 hours.
He is suspected of criminal activity “Distraction, damage or removal of equipment and endangerment at work”.
Police are continuing the investigation, in co-operation with the Prosecutor and Labour Inspectorate, to fully clarify the circumstances of the event and legal responsibilities that may arise from this tragic incident.
