As for completing the judicial process against former KLA war leaders, the Special Court has stressed that it is still early to determine a concrete date.
However, the court panel has announced that the parties should be prepared to hand in final summarys of the trial by December 22nd 2025.
“Judicial Body has shown that the parties must be prepared to hand in their final summary of the trial by December 22nd 2025. Under the procedure's rules, within 21 days after these collections are delivered, closing statements will be held, while after that phase, the court will withdraw for decision.
The prosecution is expected to be announced within 90 days, with the possibility of extending up to 60 additional days, depending on the circumstances of the issue.
