During the press conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama, she stressed EU support for closing negotiations by 2027.
“Albania is on track for integration into the European Union. I want to point out it's a great progress, record speed. Your goal is to close negotiations in 2027 and we will be with you at every step of this”, said Von der Leenen.
Speaking of the current challenges on the European continent, it also stopped in the geopolitical situation following Russian aggression against Ukraine:

Von der Leyen is located in Tirana as part of a tour of Western Balkan countries, where the membership process and the European Union's economic plan for the region are focused.
